As engagement photographer New York is one of my favourite cities to shoot at. Yena and Andrew wanted to see some unusual, more modern and cool backgrounds in their photos. And of course New York has a perfect area for these kinds of photos: The Meatpacking District.
We started right across from Chelsea Market. The sun was already going down and shone through an old fence. Who knew that photos in front of an old construction fence could be so cool?!
As engagement photographer New York I know my way around Meatpacking District. So we made our way through the streets, passing the Standard Hotel towards the Highline. The bridge with the coloured glass windows looks so magical every time. You get kind of an industrial church feeling. The former rail track was super empty that day as it was rather cold outside. Pretty perfect for our shooting though!
On our way back we stopped at the probably most famous graffiti of that area. As it was winter time, there weren’t many colourful flowers around. So the fun graffiti‘s were a nice change of background and added some colour to our motives. Besides that, the art on that wall it’s just super cool. And what a coincidence: We found a huge billboard designed by an artist with the words „You and Me“. That billboard was basically made for our shooting!
We braved the cold and had a fantastic day taking some of my favourite engagement photos. Besides being Yena and Andrew’s engagement photographer New York, I also had the pleasure to be with them during their St Regis wedding. Go check it out in my NYC wedding photographer gallery. PS: That gallery has a totally different vibe than these photo, so don’t miss it.
